Amanpuri
Amanpuri opened in 1988 on a palm-covered headland above Pansea Beach and was the first Aman resort in the world. It is still Phuket's most celebrated hotel, and the MICHELIN Guide awarded it three Keys, its highest rating, in 2026.

Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas
Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas opened in 2008 inside Sirinat National Park, on Mai Khao Beach in the far north of the island. It has 83 pool villas set in lagoon gardens by Bill Bensley, and it is about 15 minutes from the airport.

Baan Rim Pa
Baan Rim Pa has served Royal Thai cuisine to Patong visitors for more than 30 years. It moved from its original cliff at the end of Patong Beach to a new clifftop site around the headland at Kalim in about 2015, and the setting is still the reason most people book: candlelit terraces, a teak-house dining room and a view back across Patong Bay.

Banyan Tree Phuket
Banyan Tree Phuket opened in 1994 as the first Banyan Tree resort. It is an all-pool-villa property set around lagoons on a former tin mine in the Laguna complex at Bang Tao, and its spa remains one of the best on the island.

Black Ginger
Black Ginger is the most theatrical arrival in Phuket dining. At The Slate on Nai Yang Beach, near the airport, a raft carries you across a lagoon to a traditional Thai house on the far side. Chef Anongrat "Piak" Meklai cooks Southern Thai recipes, and the cooking is good enough to justify the entrance.

Blue Elephant Phuket
Blue Elephant Phuket occupies one of the grandest buildings in the old town: a restored Sino-Portuguese mansion built by the tin baron Phra Phitak Chinpracha, on Krabi Road. The high-ceilinged yellow dining rooms make it the most formal restaurant in Phuket Town.

Heh
Heh is a modern seafood restaurant on Yaowarat Road in Phuket Town. Chef-owner Nattaphon "Oat" Othanawathakij trained in Melbourne and won Iron Chef Thailand in 2021. His kitchen dry-ages line-caught local fish and cooks it over charcoal, and Michelin lists the cooking as contemporary with a Melbourne influence. Heh is in the Michelin Guide, and BK Magazine included it in its Top Tables 2026.

hom
hom is the fine-dining restaurant at the InterContinental Phuket Resort on Kamala Bay. The cooking is built around fermentation and Thai produce, served as a tasting menu. Tatler Best Thailand gave hom a Spotlight Award in 2026, it ranked No. 4 in the TOP25 Restaurants Phuket and Southern Thailand awards for 2025, and it is in the Michelin Guide.

InterContinental Phuket Resort
InterContinental Phuket Resort opened on Kamala Bay in 2019 and held its grand opening in January 2020. It has 221 rooms and suites, and the MICHELIN Guide gave it two Keys in 2026.

Jampa
Jampa is the more relaxed sister restaurant to PRU, in the Tri Vananda community in the north of the island. It holds a Michelin Green Star for sustainable gastronomy, and the menu is farm-to-table, with much of the cooking done over live fire.

Kruvit Raft
Kruvit Raft is a floating seafood restaurant moored off Koh Maphrao, on Phuket's quieter east coast. A free longtail boat takes about five minutes from Laem Hin Pier, around 10 kilometres north of Phuket Town. It is in the Michelin Guide.

L'Arôme by the Sea
L'Arôme by the Sea sits on the cliffs at Kalim, just north of Patong, with a dining room that looks straight out to the Andaman Sea at sunset. Executive chef Maksym Chukanov, who has worked at Noma and Ikarus, cooks a seafood-led modern French tasting menu with Asian influences and plenty of fermentation and grilling.

Lock Tien
Lock Tien is where Phuket Town's Hokkien food culture has been served for decades. For most of its life it was a food court on the corner of Dibuk and Yaowarat roads. In 2025 the same family moved about 650 metres south to a single shophouse at 59/14 Bangkok Road, with one kitchen instead of several stalls.

Mom Tri's Kitchen
Mom Tri's Kitchen is the restaurant at Villa Royale, on the hillside above Kata Noi Beach. It serves a mix of Thai, continental and fusion dishes from a terrace overlooking the bay, and the wine cellar holds more than 750 labels.

Mor Mu Dong
Mor Mu Dong is a Southern Thai restaurant in Chalong, set on the edge of the mangroves. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026.

Nahmyaa
Nahmyaa is the Southern Thai restaurant at COMO Point Yamu, on the cape that juts into Phang Nga Bay on Phuket's east coast. The room, designed by Paola Navone, looks out over the bay's limestone islands, and the menu focuses on the bold flavours of Thailand's southern provinces: turmeric-rich curries, shrimp-paste relishes, and salads sharp with lime and chilli.

Nitan
Nitan is the strongest independent tasting menu in the Bang Tao and Cherngtalay area. It serves contemporary Southern Thai food in a small, intimate room on Si Sunthon Road and is in the Michelin Guide.

One Chun
One Chun is the most reliable Phuket Town kitchen for local food. It has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand for seven years running, and it serves Phuket-style Thai and Hokkien home cooking in a shophouse dining room on Thepkasattri Road.

PRU
PRU is Phuket's only Michelin-starred restaurant, and it also holds a Michelin Green Star for sustainable gastronomy. Both were retained in the 2026 guide. Executive chef and co-owner Jimmy Ophorst cooks almost entirely with Thai produce, much of it from the restaurant's own farm in Pa Khlok.

Rawai Seafood Market
Rawai Seafood Market, on the seafront near Rawai Pier at Phuket's southern tip, works on a simple model. You buy fish, prawns, crab or lobster from the market stalls, then carry your bag across the road to one of the restaurants opposite, which cook it however you like for a fee.

Raya
Raya is Phuket Town's most famous restaurant. It has been serving Phuket-style Thai and Hokkien Chinese food since 1994 from a Sino-Portuguese mansion of around 100 years old on Dibuk Road.

Rosewood Phuket
Rosewood Phuket opened in November 2017 on Emerald Bay at Tri Trang Beach, just south of Patong. It was Rosewood's first resort in Southeast Asia, with 71 pool pavilions and villas spread across 43 acres and about 600 metres of beach. The MICHELIN Guide gave it two Keys in 2026.

Royd
Royd is the most talked-about restaurant in Phuket right now. Chef Suwijak "Mond" Kunghae, who was born on the island and won Iron Chef Thailand, won the MICHELIN Guide Thailand Young Chef Award 2026, and Tatler Best Thailand named Royd its Rising Star for 2026. The restaurant is also in the Michelin Guide.

Sri Panwa
Sri Panwa opened in 2005 on the tip of Cape Panwa, on Phuket's southeast coast. It has 65 pool villas, plus pool suites and penthouses, spread across a hillside with views over the islands of the Andaman Sea.

Suay
Suay means "beautiful" in Thai, and chef Tammasak "Noi" Chootong's restaurant in Cherngtalay has been in the Michelin Guide every year since 2019. It is a relaxed, garden-set room in Baan Wana Park, a few minutes from Laguna and Bang Tao Beach, and it is one of the best-value modern Thai restaurants on the island.

Ta Khai
Ta Khai is the Southern Thai restaurant at Rosewood Phuket on Emerald Bay, just south of Patong. The seafood comes from tanks on site. A husband-and-wife team known as Uncle Nun and Auntie Yai runs the kitchen, and the restaurant has been in the Michelin Guide for six consecutive years.

Tambu
Tambu is a progressive Indian restaurant set in a rooftop tent at Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong, above Tri Trang Beach. Chef Saurabh Sachdeva, an Iron Chef Thailand winner, cooks over charcoal, and the shiso leaf chaat has become the restaurant's calling card.

The Nai Harn
The Nai Harn is the only resort on Nai Harn Beach at Phuket's southern tip, and the island's only member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It reopened in 2016 after an 18-month renovation and has 130 rooms, including 20 suites. The MICHELIN Guide gave it one Key in 2026.

The Smokaccia Laboratory
The Smokaccia Laboratory is Phuket's most ambitious tasting menu. Chef Luca Mascolo calls himself a "culinary scientist", and his menus at Surin are inventive, playful and close to zero-waste. The smoked focaccia with mortadella foam that gives the restaurant its name, and a reimagined lasagna, are the dishes people remember.

The Surin Phuket
The Surin opened in 1982 as The Pansea and became The Chedi in 1995, when Ed Tuttle redesigned it. It took its current name in 2011. Despite the name, the resort sits on Pansea Beach, the small bay it shares with Amanpuri, just north of Surin Beach.

Trisara
Trisara opened in 2004 on a private bay at Nai Thon, on Phuket's northwest coast. It has 39 pool villas and suites, each with ocean views, plus private residences. The MICHELIN Guide promoted it to two Keys in 2026.
