Blue Elephant Phuket
Blue Elephant Phuket occupies one of the grandest buildings in the old town: a restored Sino-Portuguese mansion built by the tin baron Phra Phitak Chinpracha, on Krabi Road. The high-ceilinged yellow dining rooms make it the most formal restaurant in Phuket Town.
The menu, overseen by the Blue Elephant group's Master Chef Nooror, combines Royal Thai cooking with local Phuket recipes. The cooking school is the other draw, with classes at about ฿2,800++ per person (about USD 83).
It is open daily. Book ahead for the cooking class, particularly from December to March.
Guest Reviews
I visited this restaurant today, and honestly, I can say it is the best restaurant I have ever tried in my life. Or, at the very least, one of the best but I would definitely rate it among the very best because of the quality of the food, the outstanding service, the drinks and the incredible facilities. Everything was so beautiful and elegant. Mr. Erwin and his colleague, Zan, were absolutely incredible at our table. The service was extremely fast, they even took pictures of us, and they made us feel very comfortable, truly at home. Everything was brought to the table quickly, and every dish was explained clearly and promptly. The service was absolutely incredible. I honestly cannot compare whether the service, the food, the drinks or the facilities were better, because everything was exceptional. I especially want to highlight Mr. Erwin and Zan for their amazing attention and care. Truly, if you come to Thailand, you have to make a stop at this restaurant.
High quality authentic Thai food restaurant. Excellent service and location is like a colonial house in a big land in the of Phuket old town. The Tom Yum soup was great. Erwin our host from Philippines was exceptional. All in all was a wonderful lunch experience.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Blue Elephant Phuket. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Thai flavors. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and welcoming, making the evening even more special. A special thank you to Erwin, Jane, and Aum for their exceptional service. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and made us feel truly welcomed throughout our visit. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the experience memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent Thai cuisine and outstanding service in Phuket. We will definitely be back!
One of the most delicious meals we had in Phuket with such a beautiful setting in a villa built in 1903, gorgeous Portuguese architecture designed by a family. We loved everything about the experience and Erwin was especially so helpful with deciding what to order, in taking care of us throughout the dinner right till the end. He was an amazing host and treated us like family and especially considering we were celebrating two 40th birthdays. This was an unforgettable experience ❤️
We had a wonderful dinner at Blue Elephant Phuket and everything was simply outstanding. The Royal Eggplant with organic chicken, eggplant and scallops was absolutely delicious, with perfectly balanced flavors and excellent presentation. The Tom Yum was one of the best we've had, rich, fragrant and full of authentic Thai flavors. We have to mention also the two incredible desserts: the Mango Cheesecake, fresh and perfectly balanced, and the Pistachio Cake, which was simply superb and the perfect ending to an exceptional meal. A special thank you to Jane, who looked after us throughout the entire evening. She was warm, attentive, professional and absolutely perfect, making our dining experience even more memorable. Beautiful historic setting, exceptional food and impeccable service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Blue Elephant Phuket to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience.

Baan Rim Pa
Baan Rim Pa has served Royal Thai cuisine to Patong visitors for more than 30 years. It moved from its original cliff at the end of Patong Beach to a new clifftop site around the headland at Kalim in about 2015, and the setting is still the reason most people book: candlelit terraces, a teak-house dining room and a view back across Patong Bay.

Black Ginger
Black Ginger is the most theatrical arrival in Phuket dining. At The Slate on Nai Yang Beach, near the airport, a raft carries you across a lagoon to a traditional Thai house on the far side. Chef Anongrat "Piak" Meklai cooks Southern Thai recipes, and the cooking is good enough to justify the entrance.

Heh
Heh is a modern seafood restaurant on Yaowarat Road in Phuket Town. Chef-owner Nattaphon "Oat" Othanawathakij trained in Melbourne and won Iron Chef Thailand in 2021. His kitchen dry-ages line-caught local fish and cooks it over charcoal, and Michelin lists the cooking as contemporary with a Melbourne influence. Heh is in the Michelin Guide, and BK Magazine included it in its Top Tables 2026.
