Ta Khai
Ta Khai is the Southern Thai restaurant at Rosewood Phuket on Emerald Bay, just south of Patong. The seafood comes from tanks on site. A husband-and-wife team known as Uncle Nun and Auntie Yai runs the kitchen, and the restaurant has been in the Michelin Guide for six consecutive years.
Order the gaeng pu (crab curry), the moo hong and the deep-fried white snapper with fish sauce. Prices are high for Thai food (a grilled beef salad is ฿999, about USD 30) but in line with a resort of this level.
It is open daily from 6pm to 10pm. If you're staying elsewhere, it is a good reason to visit Rosewood Phuket ★ 4.7.

Our evening at Ta Khai was truly one of the highlights of our time in Phuket. The setting, atmosphere, service and, most importantly, the food were absolutely exceptional. We had the Ta Khai Experience tasting menu, which was a wonderful journey through traditional Thai flavours. We started with Yum Som-O Goong, a refreshing pomelo salad with prawns, peanuts, dried coconut and crispy shallots, followed by Gai Hor Bai Toey, delicious deep-fried chicken wrapped in fragrant pandan leaves. The Poh Pia Sod, fresh Phuket spring rolls with pork, yam bean, bean sprouts, chilli and tamarind dip, was another lovely start to the meal. The Tom Pla Gao Bai Makhaam Onn was particularly memorable, a spicy and sour grouper soup with Thai herbs, young tamarind leaves and a beautifully balanced depth of flavour. For the main courses, we enjoyed Pla Kapong Neung Manao, steamed seabass with lime, garlic and chilli, and Gaeng Massaman Nuea, an incredibly tender beef cheek Massaman curry with onion, cashew nuts, potato and cumin. The Bai Liang Phad Kai, stir-fried native melinjo leaves with eggs, garlic and dried shrimp, was also a delicious and authentic Thai touch. The Moo Hong, soy-braised pork with black pepper and garlic, was rich, tender and full of flavour. Dessert was the perfect ending: Khao Niao Mamuang, ripe mango with glutinous rice, followed by Ya Nud Prik Gla, a refreshing Phuket pineapple sorbet with chilli and salt sprinkles, such a creative and surprisingly delicious combination. And then there was the lobster we ordered as an extra. Honestly, the best lobster I have ever eaten in my life. Incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked and absolutely packed with flavour. It was the kind of dish that makes you stop talking for a moment just to enjoy it. Every course showcased Thai cuisine beautifully, while still feeling refined and sophisticated. The combination of authentic flavours, exceptional ingredients, beautiful presentation and the stunning atmosphere made the whole evening unforgettable. Ta Khai is much more than a dinner, it is an experience. Absolutely 5 stars and one of the restaurants I would recommend most highly in Phuket!
We had an absolutely wonderful evening at Ta Khai at Rosewood Phuket, celebrating both a birthday and our wedding anniversary. From the very first moment, the entire experience felt incredibly special. The setting was beautiful and intimate, and the service was exceptionally warm, attentive and genuine. Every member of the team contributed to making us feel truly welcome and cared for. The Ta Khai Experience was simply exquisite. From the delicate Yum Som-O Goong and the beautifully presented Gai Hor Bai Toey to the wonderfully aromatic Tom Pla Gao Bai Makhaam and the perfectly prepared seafood and meat dishes, every course was full of flavour and character. We particularly loved how authentic Thai flavours were combined with such refinement and attention to detail. And then there was the dessert – a wonderful finish to an already outstanding evening. What impressed us most, however, was that this never felt like a formal or impersonal fine-dining experience. It was elegant, but at the same time warm, relaxed and genuinely Thai. Thank you to the entire Ta Khai team for giving us such a memorable evening. We will remember it as one of the highlights of our time in Phuket. Warmest thanks, Ingmar & Oliver
Pricey, but then they grow/farm their own food to be sustainable and eco friendly. From the minute we walked in until we had finished dinner we felt like the only customers there. Staff are friendly and super attentive, go out of their way to ensure your dining experience is fabulous. Oh, and then there's the food. All I can say is WOW! Spectacular! Beautiful setting right in Tritrang Beach and the venue itself is stunning. Well worth a visit if you want to spoil yourself with excellent food and beautiful surroundings.
Hands down one of the best Thai food I've eaten with great atmosphere! We tried the tasting menu and we were greeted with food with so much flavours and depth! Portions were a lot too. Wonderful anniversary dinner 🍽️ Excellent service! 👍
You can go as hotel guests or visitors. They give you a tour of the fish tank, the herbs and produce they are growing. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor has air con and mosquito spray provided if sitting outdoors. Lovely cold flannel on arrival! Very romantic, quiet and beautiful. Great food, lovely cocktails and the staff went above and beyond. 100% recommend. Just don’t over order like I did!

Baan Rim Pa
Baan Rim Pa has served Royal Thai cuisine to Patong visitors for more than 30 years. It moved from its original cliff at the end of Patong Beach to a new clifftop site around the headland at Kalim in about 2015, and the setting is still the reason most people book: candlelit terraces, a teak-house dining room and a view back across Patong Bay.

Black Ginger
Black Ginger is the most theatrical arrival in Phuket dining. At The Slate on Nai Yang Beach, near the airport, a raft carries you across a lagoon to a traditional Thai house on the far side. Chef Anongrat "Piak" Meklai cooks Southern Thai recipes, and the cooking is good enough to justify the entrance.

Blue Elephant Phuket
Blue Elephant Phuket occupies one of the grandest buildings in the old town: a restored Sino-Portuguese mansion built by the tin baron Phra Phitak Chinpracha, on Krabi Road. The high-ceilinged yellow dining rooms make it the most formal restaurant in Phuket Town.
