Hotel Si Como No

This pioneering eco-resort has long set the standard for sustainable luxury in Manuel Antonio. Terraced into the hillside with views through the canopy to the ocean, Si Como No was the first hotel in Costa Rica to earn five leaves under the national sustainability certification, and its green credentials are genuine rather than decorative.

Two pools, a butterfly garden, a wildlife sanctuary, and an on-site cinema give it unusual depth for a boutique property. Rooms are comfortable rather than opulent, finished in warm tropical tones with private balconies that put you level with the treetops.

Rates from around USD 350 per night represent real value for this area, particularly for families and travellers who want wildlife on the doorstep without sacrificing comfort.

We absolutely loved Si Como No and look forward to returning again someday. We walked in to smiling faces and a beautiful view and the staff- both in the hotel and the restaurants- never stopped taking care of us. They all learned our names and made sure we had everything we needed. The views are gorgeous and we were visited several times by monkeys (two different kinds, we could hear Howler Monkeys in the distance and we saw countless birds. The grounds make you feel like you're walking through the jungle with lush foliage and beautiful flowers. The family pool was a great place to meet people and for our kids to play with other kids and slide down the water slide a million times. They made sure my husband and sons could watch a big soccer game at either the pool or in the movie room. We had a small issue with water coming into our room because someone in the upstairs room left their water on- they came to fix within minutes. The beds were very comfy, the towels were big and soft and the rooms have everything you need. It's also located within walking distance of many stores and restaurants and only a few minute drive from Manuel Antonio national park and other public beaches. My son wanted to make sure we called our Jonathan, the bartender/ Server, because while everyone was fantastic he made my boys feel like VIPs They even surprised me with a cake in our room for my birthday! Thank you to everyone at the front desk and in the restaurants for making our stay truly fantastic.

A great way to finish our trip. The staff were the best we encountered throughout our stay—friendly, helpful, and consistently welcoming. There was a good selection of food and drink options across the restaurants and bars, with a few additional dining choices nearby as well. The pools were enjoyable, although they felt a little dated in places. The standout feature was definitely the incredible views over the Pacific, which were breathtaking. Getting around was easy, whether using the hotel shuttle, public transport right on the doorstep, or Uber. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

An enjoyable time. Aging property but clean and very pleasant. A total resort vibe. Marco, the mogates bar tender, makes the best drinks. The Claro Que Si restaurant was very enjoyable. The reception staff very friendly and the spa experience was relaxing and the massage did the trick. Do be aware that the property is on a hill with many steps. If that is difficult for you make sure you book an appropriate room. Also, if you go to the adult pool, get there early because people will commandeer a seat/chaise lounge for the entire day and there are just not enough seats or places to relax out of the water. Not sure why it has wildlife refuge in its name—we saw no wildlife beyond a frog and two anoles. 🤷‍♀️ Overall a pleasant experience.

The friendliest staff at any hotel or resort that we have ever stayed at! I met Omar and Marcos the first night and every time they saw me they greeted me by name. Beautiful location and views. Very clean! One morning at breakfast we saw a sloth in the tree. Next day about 5 squirrel monkeys. Plenty of lizards and birds. An amazing stay and experience. I read reviews about the resort needing updates but that is crazy! Loved it all!

This resort is a premier location in Manuel Antonio. Every staff member was incredibly attentive and made sure even the smallest details were taken care of to the highest level of care. Beautiful resort, comfortable rooms, cold air conditioning, fantastic staff, good food, and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. We had the opportunity to see a toucan, monkeys, and other wildlife on the property during our stay. The resort is about 10-15 minutes from Quepos and is a quick drive to the city for meals, fishing, excursions, and even the local airstrip. I can not highlight the staff enough for the care and attention that each of them provide, from the front desk, to the maintenance, and restaurant staff they truly work to make it best possible experience for you and your guests. Highly recommended staying at Si Como No!
