The St. Regis Bali Resort
The St. Regis is Nusa Dua's finest hotel and one of the best beach resorts in Southeast Asia. The 123 suites and villas sit across manicured gardens facing a long, calm stretch of white sand, and the butler service, a St. Regis signature, is impeccable: your butler handles everything from unpacking to restaurant reservations to arranging ceremonies at the on-site chapel.
The lagoon-access suites, where you step from your terrace directly into a vast saltwater pool, are the sweet spot in the room categories. Kayuputi, the fine-dining restaurant, serves accomplished seafood with views across the Bali Strait toward Nusa Penida, and the spa is large and polished. The beach is among the cleanest and calmest on the island.
Rates start around USD 400 for a grand deluxe suite and rise past USD 2,500 for the Strand Villa. If Nusa Dua is your chosen base, this is the only address that competes with the best hotels elsewhere on Bali.
Guest Reviews
We had a very pleasant stay at The St. Regis Bali. We started our trip in a Gardenia Villa, which we highly recommend for absolute privacy, and later moved to a Strand Villa, which offers direct beach access and is an absolute dream. Both room types are identical in terms of layout and amenities, featuring a private pool, a large bathroom, and two toilets. The butler service is organized via a WhatsApp group where you can easily chat with the team to order coffee, make reservations, or get clothes pressed. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The resort features two main pools, one with freshwater and one with saltwater. The Lagoon Villas are located around the saltwater pool, which means they offer slightly less privacy. While the resort grounds are beautiful and spacious, there is currently a construction site next to the hotel. Depending on where your room is located, you might experience some construction noise, as of June 2026. Furthermore, we noticed that the hotel is starting to show its age. In both of our rooms, there were loose tiles in the pool, and in one villa, the door and the TV were defective. For a luxury resort at this price point, management should inspect the rooms more thoroughly and start planning renovations. Because of these issues, we give it 4 out of 5 stars. On a positive note, the beach is beautiful, regularly cleaned, and offers plenty of sun loungers.
I have to admit that before choosing this hotel, I read some reviews and felt a bit hesitant — especially because the price is quite high. But after arriving and experiencing everything myself, I can confidently say it was absolutely worth it. From the very first moment, I was impressed by the exceptional service and genuine care from the staff. Everything here truly reflects what a real five-star experience should be — the professionalism of the team, the quality of service, the beautiful décor, and the overall atmosphere are simply outstanding. I would especially like to express my sincere gratitude to the manager and to all the staff who took such wonderful care of us. Their kindness and attention made our stay incredibly pleasant and memorable. The room was absolutely magnificent — stylish, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone. It’s truly a WOW experience!
Every staff are super nice and friendly but no pressure given on you. Love the vibes and the place, it’s very peaceful, luxury, clam and private that you seldom see other people in the resort. A place that can truly retreat. There’s a 7-11 and mart right in front of hotel, easy to shop some grocery if don’t want to get any snacks from hotel. Breakfast is super nice with à la carte inclusive. Staff will recommend what to order and try, every move here makes you feel that it’s home and you are very welcomed. Service are into detail with sense that they know what you want without you asking. Lots of activities available that you don’t actually need to leave the resort. Will definitely come back if come to Bali again.
An exceptional stay from start to finish. The St. Regis Bali is flawless. The villas are gorgeous, private, and immaculately clean. The beach is pristine and uncrowded, and the lagoon pool is incredible. A special mention must go to the incredible butler service and the staff, who provided the most personalized, warm, and professional service we have ever experienced. The dining especially the breakfast was world class. Highly recommended for anyone seeking the ultimate luxury getaway in Bali!
Stayed here for 3 nights and honestly this place just exceeded every expectations I had. We booked the St. Regis Suite and the room was massive like 92 sqm with the most comfortable bed I ever sleep on, a proper walk-in closet and marble bathroom with standalone bathtub. The balcony view over the resort garden was so peaceful, especially in the morning. What really make this stay special is the private beach. It’s one of the rare white sand beaches in Bali, super clean and calm, totally different vibe from Seminyak or Kuta. No hawkers, no crowds, just clean shoreline and the sound of Indian Ocean. The beach cabanas are free and the staff will bring you anything you need without even asking. Nusa Dua itself is very different compared to other part of Bali. More quiet, more organized, and you feel so safe and relax here. Perfect for someone who want a real rest, not a party trip. The butler service is next level our butler remembered everything from our first day preference and just make sure everything was ready before we even asked. Breakfast at Boneka is insane, lobster omelet every morning, I cant believe this is included. Will definitely come back.

More Hotels in Bali

Alila Villas Uluwatu
Alila Villas Uluwatu made its name as the clifftop resort that proved Bali could do cutting-edge contemporary architecture. Designed by WOHA, the Singaporean firm known for gravity-defying tropical buildings, it is a study in clean lines, infinity edges, and a cage-like bamboo structure that houses the spectacular Warung restaurant.

Ayana Resort Bali
Ayana occupies a vast clifftop estate above Jimbaran Bay, with around 290 rooms spread across three connected properties: Ayana Resort, Ayana Segara, and the ultra-premium Ayana Villas. The scale is larger and less intimate than the neighbouring Four Seasons, but the facilities are staggering: a dozen restaurants, a private beach, an enormous spa, and Rock Bar, possibly the most famous bar in Bali, built on natural rocks at the base of the cliff.

Capella Ubud
Capella Ubud is the most distinctive hotel in Bali and one of the most original anywhere. Designed by Bill Bensley, the architect behind some of Asia's most theatrical properties, it reimagines a glamorous 1800s colonial-era camp through Bensley's signature maximalist wit. The 22 tented retreats and single lodge are scattered through dense rainforest, each one a fantasia of antique furniture, handpicked curiosities, and deliberate excess.
