Hotel Villa Marie

Villa Marie was an excellent choice to stay in lake Como, due to its location, staff, beauty of the property, service, amazing view from the pool/room/restaurant. Perfect, beautiful garden and pool. Staff helped us with good refers to local restaurants, taxi service, and much more. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you to the hotel staff. We will be back soon.

I spent over six hours researching hotels in Lake Como trying to find the perfect balance of location, price, and convenience. I wanted somewhere reasonably priced but still close enough to walk to Hotel Tremezzo and near the ferry so we could easily explore towns like Bellagio, Varenna, and Como. There are so many beautiful places on Lake Como, but figuring out which towns are actually practical for getting around takes a lot more planning than expected. I compared countless hotels, ferry routes, walking distances, and reviews before finally narrowing it down. If you’re traveling to Lake Como, location truly makes all the difference, especially if you want to enjoy the lake stress-free and explore multiple towns easily. The rooms were so beautiful and clean and had wonderful air conditioning. The complimentary breakfast was like no other with delicious cappuccinos and fresh honey. The best part were the owners who went out of their way to care for their guests. Absolutely incredible experience here!

Amazing hotel with lovely staff. It has a basic menu for lunch and dinner but overall really good value for money and that’s obvious by the returning customers.

I could not recommend Hotel Villa Marie more. Such an incredible hotel for such a reasonable price, and this is coming from someone who has stayed in many fantastic 4 star/5 star hotels around the world. I booked the room with the mountain view, and while technically it is, one of the windows still had a view where you can see the lake very clearly, which is amazing. The room itself was clean and had AC. The hotel itself is very near to all the great Tremezzo spots, as well as the ferry port. There is free breakfast included which I thought was delicious. The food felt local, and the croissant with apricot jam is something I crave even now. However, where the hotel really shines is the service and staff. The staff seems to be quite small, and so you see the same friendly faces, which really makes the vibe very familial and warm. On my last day, I had an early flight that required me to leave the hotel at 6 AM, before breakfast at 8 AM, and so they kindly packed me a breakfast the night before. I really felt taken care of! Will definitely come back!

We eloped around Lake Como and stayed here for 4 nights. It was perfect. The hotel itself has so much charm. We loved the friendly and attentive staff- always answering any questions we had. The pool was quiet and a nice spot to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The terrace is a beautiful spot to take in views and enjoy a glass of wine. They have daily breakfast and the dinner was so good! The location is perfect if you are looking for something quieter than the other towns around the lake. It is within walking distance to restaurants and the ferry. Overall, we would love to come back and stay here again!
