Grand Hotel Tremezzo
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is, for many, the definitive Lake Como hotel. It has been hosting guests since 1910, and the combination of Art Nouveau architecture, a floating pool set in the lake itself, lakeside gardens, and views directly across to Bellagio creates a striking setting. This is the hotel that appears in every Lake Como feature, and it earns the attention.
The 90 rooms and suites blend period detail with modern comfort, and the recent rooftop rooms add private terraces with sweeping views. The T Spa runs to 1,000 square metres, and the three dining options cover every mood from Michelin-quality to barefoot poolside.
Rates start around EUR 600 for a lake-view room, climbing past EUR 2,000 for the top suites in peak season. Book months ahead for summer; the hotel opens from mid-March through mid-November.
Guest Reviews
Fantastic hotel. A real Italian classic. Superb experience all round. We had the gold plated risotto. Yes, it’s actual gold and a certificate is provided to show you are one of the few who have experienced this. The staff are superb, from senior management to waiting staff.
I decked by boat, and the staff immediately helped us, including our baby. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. We also went to the pizza restaurant, and the pizza tasted just like authentic Neapolitan pizza. Thank you, guys, for your hospitality!
Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a beautiful and elegant property with stunning views of Lake Como. I especially loved the gardens, they are very well maintained and add so much charm to the hotel. However, the overall layout made it feel a bit enclosed, and not as open or spacious as I expected for a lakeside property. Still, the atmosphere is lovely and the hotel has a classic Italian luxury feel. A nice place to stay, especially if you appreciate beautiful gardens.
An Unforgettable Stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo We just finished our stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and could not have been happier. Everything about this hotel is pure perfection — from the breathtaking views of Lake Como to the world-class service that makes you feel completely at home. Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely eager to make our stay special. The standout for us was Carolina at the front desk, who went above and beyond in every way. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful truly the embodiment of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo’s five-star experience. The property itself is stunning, classic elegance meets modern luxury. The pools, the gardens, the restaurants every detail feels curated and timeless. It’s one of those rare places where you can relax completely and still feel inspired by the surroundings. We’re already planning our return.
The hotel is amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and the grounds and view from the pool is beautiful. Our only issue is the food. The dinner was awful we were starving at our stay. No great options and what you are given is not 5 star food. Please change your food menu an up the cuisine. Thank you for our wonderful stay overall it was beautiful

Filario
Filario is a modern lakefront hotel in Lezzeno, between Como town and Bellagio on the eastern shore. The 10 rooms are minimalist and elegant, with floor-to-ceiling windows over the lake, and there is a small pool, a good restaurant, and a jetty for boat arrivals.

Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni
The Villa Serbelloni is Bellagio's grande dame: a neoclassical palace at the tip of the promontory, with gardens, a pool, a private dock, and old-world grandeur that modern hotels cannot replicate. The hotel has operated since 1873, and the frescoed ceilings, marble floors, and crystal chandeliers reflect that lineage without feeling preserved in amber.

Hilton Lake Como
The Hilton is Como town's most prominent modern hotel, occupying a waterfront position with views across to Cernobbio. It is a contemporary, well-run property with a rooftop bar, an infinity pool, and clean-lined rooms, providing a comfortable base without the heritage of the lake's grand hotels.
