Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni
The Villa Serbelloni is Bellagio's grande dame: a neoclassical palace at the tip of the promontory, with gardens, a pool, a private dock, and old-world grandeur that modern hotels cannot replicate. The hotel has operated since 1873, and the frescoed ceilings, marble floors, and crystal chandeliers reflect that lineage without feeling preserved in amber.
The lake-view rooms in the main building are the ones to book, with high ceilings, balconies, and views taking in both arms of the lake. The Mistral restaurant serves polished Italian cuisine, and the terrace bar overlooking the pool is the best spot in Bellagio for an evening drink.
Rates start around EUR 400 for a classic room in shoulder season, rising past EUR 800 for lake-view suites in peak summer. The hotel closes from roughly November through March. For Bellagio, this is the definitive address.
Guest Reviews
The best hotel on lake como!! My family and I stayed here for a couple days and had the best experience. The rooms are all gorgeous, well stocked, and cleaned frequently. The pool, garden area, and dock are beautiful and very convenient for walks or getting picked up by boat etc. All the employees were extremely friendly, professional, and made our stay so amazing. If you’re looking to stay in Lake Como, I totally recommend this hotel!
This is next level luxury. The staff treats you like you’re a royal. The food by the pool and bar inside hotel were amazing. The cocktail bar staff was great with Ilya and Alessandro, hopefully I spelled that correctly. The views and location it self make you feel like you’re in a movie. My only complaint would be the pillows have to be much better for such a nice hotel. But the entire staff was amazing
Honestly an exceptional hotel with amazing staff! I read the one stars reviews and they made me lol. People are mad at the prices. Like yes, it’s a 5 star hotel. They are trying to keep people out who can’t afford to stay here. They want the people staying here to enjoy their experiences. So yes if you aren’t staying here you have to pay $60 Euros for pool access. I don’t see the problem!!! People complain about anything. It’s insane. I’m so so so grateful for my weeklong stay here. Yes it’s expensive. But it’s supposed to be. The experience is unmatched. The service is incredible. You get what you pay for. The whole experience felt like it was out of a fairy tale. So grateful to have stayed here my second time in Lake como!
Wonderful property away from the crowd and on the lake. Stunning classic interiors, great facilities for all the family, excellent food and the best hospitality. Everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming. As I can’t name everyone special thanks to Fabricio on front desk who was a pillar of our short stay, Giuseppe who took care of my daughter and I at the pool and the ever warm and welcoming smile of Alessandro whenever we arrived at the majestic gates of the property. Thank you all.
I photographed a wedding at Villa Serbelloni, and it is an absolutely iconic location on Lake Como. The views over the lake are breathtaking, with classic elegance and a timeless atmosphere throughout the property. The gardens are beautifully maintained and very scenic, perfect for portraits and ceremonies. The villa itself is stunning both outside and inside, with refined interiors and a true sense of history. As a photographer, I found this location incredibly inspiring. One of the most elegant and recognizable wedding venues on Lake Como.

Filario
Filario is a modern lakefront hotel in Lezzeno, between Como town and Bellagio on the eastern shore. The 10 rooms are minimalist and elegant, with floor-to-ceiling windows over the lake, and there is a small pool, a good restaurant, and a jetty for boat arrivals.

Grand Hotel Tremezzo
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is, for many, the definitive Lake Como hotel. It has been hosting guests since 1910, and the combination of Art Nouveau architecture, a floating pool set in the lake itself, lakeside gardens, and views directly across to Bellagio creates a striking setting. This is the hotel that appears in every Lake Como feature, and it earns the attention.

Hilton Lake Como
The Hilton is Como town's most prominent modern hotel, occupying a waterfront position with views across to Cernobbio. It is a contemporary, well-run property with a rooftop bar, an infinity pool, and clean-lined rooms, providing a comfortable base without the heritage of the lake's grand hotels.
