Hilton Lake Como
The Hilton is Como town's most prominent modern hotel, occupying a waterfront position with views across to Cernobbio. It is a contemporary, well-run property with a rooftop bar, an infinity pool, and clean-lined rooms, providing a comfortable base without the heritage of the lake's grand hotels.
Como town itself is the lake's largest settlement and the most practical base for travellers who want urban amenities alongside lake access, with Milan an hour away by train.
Rates start around EUR 250. Useful for short stays and for travellers arriving from Milan, rather than a destination in itself.
Guest Reviews
We had a great stay here even we extended one more day here though our overall holiday was fixed for Italy. Ofcourse it happened because of their extraordinary hospitality. Special thanks to Valentina from front desk. She made my birthday special . She was exceptionally humble and great human being. I extended my stay all because of great hospitality. All the staff I have interacted were very polite. Thanks to Issa, Martin and others. Unfortunately I was not able to meet Valentina on my check out date as she was off to provide the feedback. If you read the review thank you so much from bottom of my heart again for your great hospitality dear. Will recommend Hilton to everyone who is planning their trip to como.
Had a two night stay here in the month of June. The property itself is great. Service was excellent and value was decent for the location. Only complaint is that it’s a bit far from the center of town, so a car was needed. Also, the pool closes rather early, Around 6pm. The views of the surrounding area from the rooftop are stunning.
The hotel was exceptional & the staff were all very courteous! We had a lake view table both nights we dined at Terrazza 241, where the food and service were both excellent. Breakfast at Satin was great. And we also enjoyed a couple of pizzas outside at Streetfood. Our entire experience was amazing.
Absolutely fantastic hotel! 25 min walk from train station and ferry boats or 10-15 euro taxi (less than 10 mins). I stay in hotels over 150 nights / year, and I can happily say that this hotel has hit the top of my list and it’s not even close. This hotel is fantastic. It is clean, beautiful, and with a great location. This is a resort style hotel with great luxury. What rounds it off is the service. All of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Honestly the best overall experience I’ve had at a hotel probably ever and that comes from someone who spends about half their time in hotels :). It doesn’t simply check all the boxes, it goes above and beyond in every category… cleanliness, luxury, service, etc.
We had an amazing 3-night stay at Hilton Lake Como with our family, including our two-year-old. Before we even arrived, the concierge team was incredibly responsive and helpful—coordinating airport transportation, making restaurant reservations, and ensuring a crib was ready in our room. A special thank you to Francesco and Valentino for making everything seamless and stress-free. The staff throughout the hotel were warm and welcoming, and they went out of their way to make our daughter feel included (even providing a coloring book, which was a great touch). The location is also ideal—peaceful and just outside the busy center of Como, but still an easy walk to the ferry and great restaurants. Highly recommend for families visiting Lake Como.

Filario
Filario is a modern lakefront hotel in Lezzeno, between Como town and Bellagio on the eastern shore. The 10 rooms are minimalist and elegant, with floor-to-ceiling windows over the lake, and there is a small pool, a good restaurant, and a jetty for boat arrivals.

Grand Hotel Tremezzo
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is, for many, the definitive Lake Como hotel. It has been hosting guests since 1910, and the combination of Art Nouveau architecture, a floating pool set in the lake itself, lakeside gardens, and views directly across to Bellagio creates a striking setting. This is the hotel that appears in every Lake Como feature, and it earns the attention.

Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni
The Villa Serbelloni is Bellagio's grande dame: a neoclassical palace at the tip of the promontory, with gardens, a pool, a private dock, and old-world grandeur that modern hotels cannot replicate. The hotel has operated since 1873, and the frescoed ceilings, marble floors, and crystal chandeliers reflect that lineage without feeling preserved in amber.
