Palazzo Avino
Ravello's most celebrated hotel occupies a twelfth-century private residence that has been transformed into something magnificent. The decor is bold (hand-painted tiles, vivid fabrics, antiques in every corner), and the overall effect is more aristocratic Italian villa than corporate luxury hotel.
Rossellinis, the in-house restaurant, holds a Michelin star and serves some of the best food on the coast. The heated pool has views that justify the room rate on their own, and a private shuttle runs guests down to the hotel's beach club at Marmorata.
Doubles start from around EUR 600. Ravello sits high above the coast, so this is the address for travellers who prize quiet and long views over beach-town energy.
Guest Reviews
The place is very nice. After visiting the hotel, we requested if we could benefit from the pool after having lunch at the restaurant of the hotel. We were said yes. We had a decent lunch and after this break decided to enjoy the pool. We were refused the access because the staff made a mistake and should t have offered us this option. What a disappointment! We would have never have lunch there without this option. The food is correct but not good enough to worth spending time there without being able to enjoy the pool. We reported this incident to the manager who claims that her staff knows the rules and should n t have offered this option.. 5 star hôtels are meant to be elegant, prestigious and trust worthy. This is not what we have experienced at the hôtel today
Very beautiful location and the view is exceptional. Maria at the reception was very kind and helpful. However, the room is very average (no amenities at all.. and very small bathroom). The service is average at best, and the non Michelin restaurant is a huge disappointment for guests of the hotel (no view, average food, and zero atmosphere). The breakfast is also very average. Generally, not worth it really to stay there. Very far from a 5 star / palace experience.
Palazzo Avino is pure magic. The location is stunning, with some of the best views of the Amalfi Coast you could ever imagine. The hotel is elegant yet welcoming, and the service is outstanding — everyone made us feel so special throughout our stay. The food was exceptional, from the rich breakfast to the fine dining experience in the evening — every meal was a highlight. We also loved the beach club, such a beautiful spot by the sea with crystal-clear water, relaxing beds, and excellent service. It was the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation. An unforgettable stay in Ravello — highly recommended!
Amazing establishment with a very personal touch. Beautiful rooms and great service located in a slightly quieter corner of the Amalfi Credits to Antonio for making the stay extra memorable
We stopped at Palazzo Avino in Ravello just to relax with a drink and some pastries, and it was a beautiful experience. The hotel has a wonderful view overlooking the coast, with a pleasant walk to get there and a nice, welcoming crowd and atmosphere. The ambiance felt elegant yet relaxing — a perfect spot to enjoy the Ravello charm. The only downside was there were no one in particular to take our request and I had to search a few times to find someone since it was a busy time.

Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel
A thirteenth-century Capuchin convent turned luxury hotel, the Convento sits above Amalfi town with expansive views along the coast. The cloister, with its Arab-Norman arches and citrus garden, is magnificent, and the infinity pool overlooking the town and the sea is excellent.

Belmond Hotel Caruso
The infinity pool at Hotel Caruso, set in the gardens of an eleventh-century palazzo, appears to merge directly with the sea 300 metres below. It is, without exaggeration, one of the most photographed hotel pools in the world.

Casa Angelina
The coast's most design-forward hotel, Casa Angelina is a study in Mediterranean minimalism: all white surfaces, clean lines, and vast windows framing the sea. It is a striking counterpoint to the baroque opulence of properties like Palazzo Avino.
