Belmond Hotel Caruso
The infinity pool at Hotel Caruso, set in the gardens of an eleventh-century palazzo, appears to merge directly with the sea 300 metres below. It is, without exaggeration, one of the most photographed hotel pools in the world.
The rooms are classic and comfortable, the gardens are beautiful, and the sense of elevation, both literal and atmospheric, is remarkable. Service is polished in the Belmond manner, attentive without being intrusive.
Doubles start from around EUR 700. This is the address for travellers who want the Ravello experience distilled to its purest form.
Guest Reviews
Dear Caruso Team, Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for the truly extraordinary experience we enjoyed during our recent stay as we celebrated our 10-year anniversary. Caruso has long held a special place in our hearts, yet this visit surpassed even our highest expectations. From the moment we arrived, every member of your team made us feel warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. The gracious hospitality extended by the valet staff, front desk team, Carmine and Tommy at the bar, and Marco at the pool brought a personal touch to every moment and made our celebration exceptionally memorable. What continues to set Caruso apart is not only its breathtaking setting but also the impeccable attention to detail woven throughout the entire guest experience. We were especially impressed by the recent enhancements to the property. From the elegant new logo and beautifully crafted custom-designed plates to the thoughtfully refreshed guest rooms, every element reflects a dedication to sophistication, excellence, and timeless hospitality. While the iconic pool remains one of the most spectacular in the world, it is ultimately the people who define the spirit of Caruso. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care transformed our stay into something truly unforgettable and created memories we will cherish for years to come. For those seeking hospitality that consistently exceeds expectations, there is simply no finer destination than Caruso. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration more meaningful, memorable, and special than we could have ever imagined. We can’t wait to visit again.
We had a truly memorable stay at Caruso. We were kindly upgraded to La Divina Suite, which was absolutely amazing, and the views from the property and its facilities were breathtaking. The service was also exceptional in many ways. Nicola and Roberta at the front desk were extremely professional, responsive, and helpful in handling our many activity and restaurant reservation requests. The team member who assisted us during check-in — a kind young woman with glasses — was also very warm and polite, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our experience at Caruso Grill was one of the highlights of our stay. The team, including Giovanni, was very kind and attentive throughout the meal. One staff member kindly brought us to the kitchen so that we could see and personally choose the Catch of the Day. After dinner, Giovanni even sent chocolates to our room, which were absolutely delicious and made our final night at Caruso unforgettable. Housekeeping was also excellent. Even late at night, the team came all the way to our suite and provided exceptional turndown service. Our suite was spacious, with many curtains, and we took multiple showers after swimming, yet the room was always kept perfectly spotless. We also really enjoyed the complimentary boat tour. The chilled beverages and detailed explanations of the viewpoints were wonderful. Breakfast was wonderful with delicious A la carte menus, although the service felt slightly less warm and attentive compared with the rest of our experience. Overall, Caruso is a stunning hotel with breathtaking views, beautiful facilities, and many wonderful staff members who made our stay feel very special.
This hotel might have the best views on planet Earth. It’s at the top of the quiet part of Ravello. Away from the crowds of the waterfront towns of the Amalfi Coast. The staff and food are great. Spa is good and the bars are exquisite. The pool is WOW. Come here and escape the world.
We had an amazing lunch with our friends at Caruso Grill. Giovannis team made our stay extraordinary. He and his team are very friendly, charming and professionell. They had a very nice detail with us and we enjoyed frozen strawberries with strawberry Sorbet as a desert. The food is high end quality. We’re looking forward to come back. Thank you for this beautiful escape and very special lunch time ❤️
A true hidden gem in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. Like every Belmond hotel we have visited across Europe, this property is truly exceptional — combining a breathtaking location, stunning views, outstanding restaurants, and perhaps one of the most beautiful infinity pools in Europe. The bar is fantastic, the food in the restaurants was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails and drinks were excellent, with a wide and carefully selected variety. What truly makes this place unforgettable, however, is the staff. This is without a doubt one of the most attentive, warm, and dedicated hotel teams we have ever encountered. They do everything possible — and beyond — to meet their guests’ needs and make their stay truly special. We were especially impressed by the care and attention they extend to pets as well, making sure even our furry companion felt comfortable and well looked after. Special thanks to General Manager Iolanda Mansi, who is undoubtedly one of the best hotel managers we have ever met. Always smiling, always present, and genuinely involved — you can see her everywhere, from the reception to the restaurants and the pool area. She creates a wonderful atmosphere and makes every guest feel valued and welcome. A big thank you as well to Aurora (I hope I remembered the name correctly) from reception, together with her colleagues and the concierge team. They did the impossible to locate a vital medication for our dog across the entire coast and made sure it was delivered to the hotel. This level of care and dedication is something truly rare and unforgettable. Many thanks also to the team of vallet and the luggage assistance team — absolute professionals. Overall, this is a remarkable place with breathtaking views, beautiful rooms, and attention to every detail. A perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality. We would gladly return again. And we highly recommend it to anyone who decides to visit the Amalfi Coast.

Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel
A thirteenth-century Capuchin convent turned luxury hotel, the Convento sits above Amalfi town with expansive views along the coast. The cloister, with its Arab-Norman arches and citrus garden, is magnificent, and the infinity pool overlooking the town and the sea is excellent.

Casa Angelina
The coast's most design-forward hotel, Casa Angelina is a study in Mediterranean minimalism: all white surfaces, clean lines, and vast windows framing the sea. It is a striking counterpoint to the baroque opulence of properties like Palazzo Avino.

Il San Pietro di Positano
If Le Sirenuse represents old-world Positano elegance, Il San Pietro is its slightly wilder counterpart. Built into the cliff face just south of town, the hotel is reached by a road that descends through the rock to a lobby perched above the sea, and a private lift drops guests to a beach club at water level.
