W Bali - Seminyak

We are blessed to travel frequently and as such get to stay in a lot of hotels . Once you're in a 5 star hotel the amenities are similar but what sets one hotel above another is the staff and the service - it's the little things that count at this point. The service and staff at the W Hotel in Seminyak are just fantastic ! This of course reflects on management because they obviously look after the staff to keep them happy. April was our 'guest communicator ' she could not have made us feel more welcome and special! Her intern Lydya and April went 'above and beyond' in service and genuine friendliness. My wife and I have birthdays that are only days apart and we were at the W for mine . Beautifully written cards , gifts and kindness came from these two and again made us feel special. I will try not to bang on more about this service level but an ice bucket full of beer delivered to the room at the end of a hot day was unexpected and welcomed! Special mention to our pool mate Oka together with Nova , Dewa and Made on the deck bar . All the staff from the valets , motorbike parking attendants , gate guys , bar staff and gardeners were all smiling happy and friendly ! Sorry to go on too much here but the staff and service are excellent! As loyal and repeat customers we were honored with an upgrade to a beautiful quiet well serviced room - again Pestika and Agus did a fantastic job and nothing was too much trouble. . The W's mantra is Whatever , Whenever and they don't just give this as lip service - nothing is a bother to them! We will definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this hotel and staff !

Repeat stay year after year; the W Bali doesnt feel old even after all these years. Love the millennial W era vibes which is something that is lost in recent years but maintained here. Bayu that checked us in was amazing, and made our stay so welcoming and went out of his way to make my birthday stay memorable. The room decor, welcome gift and the upgrade was greatly appreciated! The view for the ocean view is the highlight where you can see and hear the waves day and night. The pool is one of the most aesthetics pools with it’s multi layered Balinese rice terraces overlooking the sunset. Thanks Bayu and W Bali for maintaining the high standards that made us fall in love with the property many years ago!

After our stay at Potato Head, we were honestly a bit sad to leave and weren’t sure if anything could top that experience — but the W Bali completely surprised us in the best way. From the moment we arrived, everything felt next level. The staff, the food, the facilities, the atmosphere — everything was exceptional. The hotel has such a fun yet luxurious vibe, with beautiful spaces, great energy, and amazing service throughout. It really feels like a place where you can relax during the day and enjoy the lifestyle and buzz in the evening. A very special thank you to Denta, who truly took great care of us. My wife unfortunately got Bali belly during our stay, and Denta immediately arranged for a doctor and kept checking in to make sure she was okay. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention made a stressful moment so much easier for us. We’re very grateful for her support. Top service! Overall, we had a fantastic experience. It’s not cheap, but if you can afford it, it’s absolutely worth it for the quality and level of care you receive. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Bali. Highly recommended!

After more than 10 stays at W Bali between 2019 and 2026, it’s sad to say that what was once my number one vacation destination no longer feels deserving of that title. My stays in November 2025 and January 2026 were still excellent, which made the decline during this visit even more noticeable and disappointing. During this stay, I met with the new GM, Michael, to discuss several service concerns, but the conversation felt filled with excuses rather than genuine accountability or urgency to improve the guest experience. I arrived more than an hour after official check in time and my room was still not ready. Beyond that, many of the hospitality touches that once made W Bali stand out simply felt absent. As a Marriott elite member, there was very little recognition, minimal guidance regarding hotel amenities, breakfast information was not proactively provided, and even assistance with day bed bookings lacked the attention to detail the property was once known for. What made the experience worse was the condition of the room itself. Visible cracks throughout the villa, damaged finishes, poorly maintained surfaces, and even scribbled markings left inside guest materials made the room feel tired and neglected rather than luxury. For a property that markets itself as one of Bali’s premier lifestyle resorts, the lack of upkeep was surprising. The most disappointing part was spending valuable vacation time explaining service gaps and operational shortcomings instead of simply enjoying my holiday. Traveling all the way from the US to Bali, I expected the warm, polished, and detail oriented hospitality that kept bringing me back over the years. The property is still beautiful from the outside, but the service, upkeep, and overall experience no longer feel special. Sadly, the hotel that was once my first choice in Bali may no longer be anymore.

From the very first moment, my stay at W Bali felt special. The arrival was warm, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming, immediately creating a sense of ease and anticipation for what was to come. Thanks to my Marriott Bonvoy Gold status, I received a lovely room upgrade. The room was outstanding — beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and offering a stunning sea view. The bathroom is exceptional, and the balcony overlooking the ocean became one of my favorite places to pause and simply enjoy the moment. A true highlight is the high-quality Bose sound system in the room, which delivers remarkable sound quality and adds a real sense of luxury to the stay. The resort is directly beachfront, creating an open, airy, and vibrant atmosphere. The pool area is absolutely exceptional. With a total length of around 100 meters, it is perfect for proper swimming. It never feels crowded and is maintained to an impeccable standard. The team at the pool deserves special recognition — always attentive, friendly, and professional, delivering drinks and food seamlessly and with great care throughout the day. The bar team across the resort is outstanding. The bartenders are highly skilled, engaging, and consistently deliver excellent quality. A special mention goes to the bar supervisor, whose communication, presence, and genuine hospitality are exceptional. The team remembers preferences, creates a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, and makes every visit feel personal rather than routine. One culinary moment truly stood out: I had the best Pad Thai I have ever eaten outside of Thailand. My sincere compliments to the head chef and the entire kitchen team — an outstanding dish that I will genuinely remember. Service throughout the resort is remarkable. I would especially like to mention Yunda from the concierge team. She has an extraordinary ability to recognize guests throughout the lobby, address them by name, and remember their individual stories. This rare gift makes guests feel truly seen and valued. Communication via WhatsApp was always fast, thoughtful, and impeccably professional. W Bali is a resort that combines style, warmth, and exceptional service in a way that feels effortless and authentic. A truly memorable stay — and a place I would return to without hesitation.
