The Warung
The Warung is the Indonesian restaurant at Alila Villas Uluwatu ★ 4.7, set beneath the resort's bamboo canopy on the cliff edge. It faces west over the Indian Ocean, which makes it one of the best sunset tables on the Bukit peninsula.
The menu covers regional Indonesian dishes: beef rendang in the style of Bukittinggi in West Sumatra, sop buntut (oxtail soup) and tongkol gohu, a raw tuna dish from North Maluku. For a group, the megibung, a traditional Balinese shared feast, costs IDR 1,200,000++ per couple. On Fridays the Pasar Malam (night market) buffet costs IDR 1,480,000++ per person.
Mains cost around IDR 195,000 to 285,000 (about USD 11-16). Lunch runs from 11am to 4pm and dinner from 4pm to 11pm. Book ahead for a table at sunset.
Guest Reviews
The Warung (inside Alila Villas Uluwatu Hotel) has such and incredible view and atmosphere. Did not try the food, only 2 cocktails, which were amazing! I've seen other reviews stating live music with Saxaphone or violin player etc, however when we were there there was a DJ performing chill relaxing house music only but that was plenty to set the mood and vibe. Amazing view Off of the cliff To see the waves of the ocean Nearly 100 meters below. There is also a big huge amazing pool that if you are careful enough you can pretend you are a hotel guest and jump in LOL. (Included photos of the ground of the hotel because it is so cute!)
Most expensive but worse meal in Bali. Highly disappointing. We spent around A$450 for a family of 4, making it the most expensive meal we’ve had in Bali, yet the absolute worst. The food did not taste fresh at all, and the service was terrible. The staff completely ignored the guests; we had to wait forever to order more food. Even wine we had to pour it ourselves. (5 star hotel restaurant!!) Absolutely not worth the price. Save your money and go somewhere else. Only the resort atmosphere was good. I didn't even take a picture of the food.
Beautiful Balinese/Indonesian restaurant in Alila Uluwatu. Great ambience and fantastic setting to have a nice lunch or dinner. Great service. Enjoy fantastic ocean views over a cliff. High end restaurant and worth the experience
Nice lunch at here. Fish and chicken is freshly made. Dessert is also nice View is the main things here. Can view the sea while eating.
Canceled our booking at an outside restaurant as we were a bit tired to travel. Decided to give the resort restaurant a try and it was surprisingly good. We ordered the set, which allows us to sample many of their recommended dishes. It was great but the portion is large so, we can't really finish everything. Decent wine and beverage list as well, but a price was a bit steep for some of the French bottles (well, it's Bali).

Apéritif
Apéritif is the fine-dining restaurant at Viceroy Bali, set above the Petanu River valley a short drive from central Ubud. The room is styled after a 1920s colonial dining salon, with its own bar. Executive chef Nic Vanderbeeken, who is Belgian, applies European technique to Indonesian ingredients. Tatler Best Indonesia named it one of the country's 20 best restaurants in both 2025 and 2026.

Cuca
Cuca is Jimbaran's most exciting restaurant and one of the most original dining concepts on the island. Chef Kevin Cherkas, who trained at elBulli and Arzak in Spain and at Daniel in New York, opened Cuca with Virginia Entizne in 2013. He brings a distinctly creative sensibility to a menu built around small, tapas-style plates designed for sharing. The setting is deliberately casual, an open-air pavilion surrounded by gardens, which belies the technical sophistication of the cooking.

Home by Chef Wayan
Home by Chef Wayan sits on Jalan Pantai Pererenan, just west of Canggu. Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa is Balinese, trained in Michelin-starred kitchens and later cooked for the Potato Head group, and he co-wrote the cookbook PAON. His own restaurant serves modern Balinese and Indonesian cooking in the style of a family table. Tatler Best Indonesia 2026 named it one of the country's 20 best restaurants, the only one in the Canggu area.
