Best food experience we had in Ubud! This is not your ordinary fine dining destination!! It’s better to be pretty open-minded to fully appreciate this kind of experience... You get welcome and walk through the restaurant from the botanical greenhouse to the forest to the kitchen. The dinner is divided in three different areas with three different styles of dishes, starting with few little tastes of savoury and moving to the “mains” desserts to finish with few little bites on the outdoor table in front of the bonfire. We opted for one mocktail paring and one cocktail paring, although we did prefer the “spiritless” one, since we find it more enjoyable due to the more gentle taste of the desserts. We also had a nice chat with chef Will which was making sure everyone was enjoying the fabulous experience. Highly recommend!!
Lovely experience. Didn't expect to have such a good meal at a dessert focused location. Savoury dishes were great, loved the well-balanced and played use of flavours for each dish, surprising yet delicious. Cod was beautifully done. Desserts were amazing and mocktail and wine pairing each was in symphony with the dishes. Great notes complementing the dishes and dishes with the drinks - excellent curation of the meal. Loved the transition from one location to another for storytelling, change of vibe and seating capacity optimisation. Would love to be back!
This is not just a restaurant — it is a complete experience. From the process and inspiration behind every dish to the quality of the ingredients, every detail reflects passion, creativity, and excellence. The chefs and the entire team come together to create something truly unforgettable. A special thank you to Will for what he has built alongside his exceptional team. He is a true example of leadership through integration, resilience, respect, and teamwork — an inspiring expat leading by example. Without a doubt, if I return to Bali in the future, this will be one of my first stops for a second round.
A truly unforgettable experience. After watching Chef’s Table, I set my heart on visiting this restaurant and was lucky enough to have the opportunity. The attention to detail was amazing, the servers were the perfect amount of involved in the experience, walking through the kitchen felt like such a treat, and watching the chefs hard at work made the food even tastier. It was everything I wished for and more. One of my favourite dining experiences, ever. If you get the chance to go to The Powder Room, I can’t recommend their Crème Brûlée Bombolone enough!
Overall the full tasting menu based mainly on desserts is an outstanding area and we were very excited to see how it works. I must say, the savoury courses at the beginning were excellent, as well as the care of the staff. The cocktail pairing also. The rest of the experience was frankly boring. There was nothing wrong with the taste, but the experience was overall boring. Nobody gave us any explanation, no extra care, though we sat directly in the middle of the counter. It is probably because Will himself was not present and without him this place simply looses the vibe - maybe?

More Restaurants in Bali

Apéritif
Apéritif is the fine-dining restaurant at Viceroy Bali, set above the Petanu River valley a short drive from central Ubud. The room is styled after a 1920s colonial dining salon, with its own bar. Executive chef Nic Vanderbeeken, who is Belgian, applies European technique to Indonesian ingredients. Tatler Best Indonesia named it one of the country's 20 best restaurants in both 2025 and 2026.

Cuca
Cuca is Jimbaran's most exciting restaurant and one of the most original dining concepts on the island. Chef Kevin Cherkas, who trained at elBulli and Arzak in Spain and at Daniel in New York, opened Cuca with Virginia Entizne in 2013. He brings a distinctly creative sensibility to a menu built around small, tapas-style plates designed for sharing. The setting is deliberately casual, an open-air pavilion surrounded by gardens, which belies the technical sophistication of the cooking.

Home by Chef Wayan
Home by Chef Wayan sits on Jalan Pantai Pererenan, just west of Canggu. Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa is Balinese, trained in Michelin-starred kitchens and later cooked for the Potato Head group, and he co-wrote the cookbook PAON. His own restaurant serves modern Balinese and Indonesian cooking in the style of a family table. Tatler Best Indonesia 2026 named it one of the country's 20 best restaurants, the only one in the Canggu area.
