Il Ristorante Niko Romito

Il Ristorante Niko Romito opened at the Bvlgari Resort Bali in May 2025, replacing the hotel's previous fine-dining restaurant. Niko Romito, one of Italy's most decorated chefs, designs the menu, and resident chef Alessandro Mazzali runs the kitchen. The room seats just 24, on a clifftop above the Indian Ocean in Uluwatu.

You can choose the four-course I Classici menu, the seven-course La Degustazione or à la carte. Signature dishes include cold tagliolini with sea urchin, risotto with oyster, lemon and bottarga, duck tortellini with black truffle, and a bread-and-chocolate dessert made with Balinese cacao.

Menus start from around IDR 2,900,000++ (about USD 160 before tax and service), which makes this one of the most expensive tables on the island. It serves dinner only, from 6pm. Book well ahead.

Il Ristorante – Niko Romito is the new fine-dining Italian restaurant at Bvlgari Resort Bali in Uluwatu, Bali, created in collaboration with renowned Italian chef Niko Romito. It opened in May 2025 and brings his modern Italian culinary philosophy to the island. Chef Niko Romito is a highly acclaimed Italian chef whose Reale restaurant in Italy earned three Michelin stars and he is the Chef Consultant for the Bvlgari restaurants worldwide. Romito’s cooking emphasizes: • Purity of flavor — simplifying dishes to highlight the essence of key ingredients. • Lightness and depth — combining refined techniques with intense taste experiences. Born in 1974 in Castel di Sangro in Italy’s Abruzzo region, Romito self-taught himself as a chef, then quickly developed his own culinary style focused on clarity, purity of flavor, and simplicity.

The food and the service and the atmosphere was fantastic. I’d definitely come back. Chef did a great well job. My family and I had a very good time. It has an open air concept and it was very perfect. Thank you!

The setting is stunning and the service team was warm and attentive, but unfortunately the food was a real disappointment. Despite the beautiful plating, the food was so off that I could hardly eat what was served. For a brand like Bulgari, with the reputation and price point attached, I had high expectations that simply weren’t met. The restaurant was also completely empty during our visit, which added to the odd atmosphere. On top of that, we provided dietary requirements in advance (my partner is diabetic) but only after we sat down and prepaid were we told they weren’t sure they could accommodate. For such a renowned name, this felt careless and made the experience feel even less worth the cost.
