Lido di Bellano
Lido di Bellano, on Via Martiri della Libertà in Bellano, is the most complete lido on the eastern shore. It has a sand beach, swimming pools, an adults-only solarium terrace with jacuzzis for over-16s, and a restaurant with a wood-fired pizza oven.
Booking is online only. The beach and pools open from 10am to 7pm on weekdays and from 9am at weekends. The most recent published prices, from summer 2024, were EUR 9 on weekdays and EUR 11 on holidays for adult entry, with sunbeds and umbrellas at EUR 5 each.
Bellano has its own train station on the Lecco to Sondrio line, so the lido works as a day trip from Milan without a car.
Guest Reviews
I accidentally made a reservation for the wrong day and they were kind enough to accommodate me anyway. Affordable and relaxing way to spend the day on vacation. Loved the lounge chairs. Will definitely return!
Very disappointing experience. I ordered grilled seafood, but it was so overly salty that after two bites I had to send the dish back. I simply asked for a new portion with less salt, but after 20 minutes I was served what was most likely the exact same dish, just reheated — still completely inedible. The worst part, however, was the owner’s attitude. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he started shouting in Italian and refused to offer any discount or compensation, even though I barely touched the meal. Beautiful location, but the level of service and respect for customers leaves a lot to be desired.
This is a great place when it is hot and you need to cool down. We came two days in a row. Sunbeds were 20 euros each for the frontline with umbrella. Lovely to lounge next to the lake. The food was really good - wood fired pizza and I had the orrichietti which was excellent. A good price for the setting. Service was friendly and the view whilst eating lunch fabulous. They open in an evening for dinner too. We didn’t book and just turned up but I imagine in peak season or weekends it would be worth reserving. Easy to walk from station or ferry. You can also use the free public beach next door but we enjoy a sun lounger and felt it was worth paying for as we stayed a whole day.
Unexpected Gem by the Lake! We ended up in Bellano unexpectedly to charge our electric car — and what a lucky detour it turned out to be! Right next to the charging station was Lido, where we decided to grab a quick drink while waiting. We ended up staying for dinner, and it was absolutely worth it. Simple, fresh, and fast — delicious pizzas, fresh fish, and a fantastic lakeside terrace. We truly enjoyed every moment. A great spot for a spontaneous and satisfying meal!
We had the pizza and classic burgers. Serving size is big, all fresh ingredients. High quality food and quick friendly service, assisted in English where required. Setting on the Lake is amazing. Great place to eat while waiting for your Airbnb to open up.
