Il Pirata
Tucked into the tiny harbour of Marina di Praia below Praiano, Il Pirata is a family-run seafood restaurant that has drawn devoted regulars for years. The setting is intimate, a small cove with fishing boats pulled up on the sand, and the food is honest, unfussy, and based entirely on what came in that morning.
The spaghetti ai ricci di mare (sea urchin) is remarkable when it is in season.
Budget EUR 50-80 per person. Getting here involves a steep descent down steps, worth noting if mobility is a concern.
Guest Reviews
Our evening at Il Pirata was a fantastic night that I’ll never forget! To start off with the service was phenomenal! My spouse was even able to order me a bouquet of roses through them! It was a windier colder night so they brought us blankets to keep us warm, which was so nice! Now, the food and drinks, they were absolutely amazing! It was all so wonderful and beautiful we literally can’t wait to come back!
Very nice location on the border of the Mediterranean Sea, good food, good atmosphere and good service, with Dam from Senegal, very pleasant. The service was really very fast and good. Recommended except for the stairs that you have to climb after the meal.
This was a great place to hang out for a few hours. We did not eat the food, only had a few drinks and enjoyed the view. The family that owns the place was so warm and greeted us personally.
This place deserves all the hype it receives. Best views for dinner, coolest bar, delicious food, and the bartender Antonio is the star. Bartender is underrated, mixologist* he will go out of his way to create custom shots and cocktails for you. Highly Recommend.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Exceptional views, excellent food at very fair prices, and great service all around. Antonio the bartender was our favorite. Best bartender in all of Amalfi Coast.

Chez Black
An institution on Positano's main beach since 1949, Chez Black is the kind of place where you will see A-listers in linen shirts eating pizza alongside Italian families on holiday. The wood-fired pizzas are excellent, the seafood pasta is reliable, and the people-watching is world-class.

Cumpa Cosimo
At the opposite end of the spectrum from Rossellinis, Cumpa Cosimo has been feeding visitors and locals in Ravello since 1929. The portions are enormous, the pasta is handmade daily, and the atmosphere is cheerfully chaotic.

Don Alfonso 1890
Don Alfonso holds one Michelin star and has kept its place among the south's finest restaurants for decades. The Iaccarino family's restaurant sits above the coast in the quiet hilltop village of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, away from the tourist crush below.
