Cumpa Cosimo
At the opposite end of the spectrum from Rossellinis, Cumpa Cosimo has been feeding visitors and locals in Ravello since 1929. The portions are enormous, the pasta is handmade daily, and the atmosphere is cheerfully chaotic.
The mixed antipasti plate could feed a small family, and the rabbit with rosemary is excellent. Do not expect refined presentation; do expect to leave very full and very happy.
Around EUR 30-50 per person, exceptional value for this part of the coast.

Had such a lovely meal here. Wonderful family run establishment. I would 100% recommend the cannoli. Can’t wait to go back and have it again. Also the nonna in all the pictures makes you feel so loved and cared for!
One of the best meals we have eaten in Italy. We are half way through a three week visit and have enjoyed great food in Rome and Sorrento. We are on a tour of the Amalfi coast and stopped in Ravello for lunch. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. This atmosphere continued as our order was taken and good served. The owner/La Donna, dried by to chat after we ordered. She later came to our table with an amazing plate of meatballs in tomato sauce. We hadn't ordered an appetizer, she just wanted us to try them as she knew it was our first visit to Ravello. They were delicious and flavorful. Our chicken and beef meals came with a side of pasta that was delicious. The tomato sauce was indeed off the best we both had ever had. My partner is first generation Italian and she was very impressed! The owner came by later to ask how we enjoyed the meal. We complimented her on an excellent experience and moments later she returned with an amazing large piece of cake for us to share. The app and dessert were not charged to us and we truly felt we had sat down in someone's home for a family meal. I highly recommend
We spent a day on the Amalfi Coast and stopped in Ravello for lunch. Our tour guide recommended Trattoria Pizzeria Cumpa’ Cosimo, and the strong Google reviews convinced us to give it a try. The host felt like a loving grandmother—warm, welcoming, and attentive. She even taught us how to pronounce the dishes in Italian as we ordered, and checked in often to make sure everything was perfect. We each ordered a pasta dish; I chose the seafood pasta, which was delicious. To our surprise, she brought us a fresh salad as a complimentary appetizer, and later treated us to a slice of tiramisu on the house. The food was excellent, but what truly stood out was the family atmosphere. Dining here felt less like being in a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. A wonderful experience overall.
Served by the Nonna herself, this was truly one of the best dining experiences we had in Italy. We were generously given extra servings and it was just such a fun and tasty experience. Everything tasted authentic, seasoned perfectly, and fresh! This place is a must on the Amalfi coast!
Excellent food, everything was expertly prepared and so very flavorful. The fusilli was cooked perfectly and was a pleasure. The Bolognese was also delicious. We also tried the pizza and cannonlli which were also great. Desserts - lemon cake and tiramisu - were also delicious. Finally to top it off, the service was so kind and welcoming. It was our first time here and I felt like we were dining with our nonna. Nata is an amazing person and made the visit so memorable. Would highly recommend.

Chez Black
An institution on Positano's main beach since 1949, Chez Black is the kind of place where you will see A-listers in linen shirts eating pizza alongside Italian families on holiday. The wood-fired pizzas are excellent, the seafood pasta is reliable, and the people-watching is world-class.

Don Alfonso 1890
Don Alfonso holds one Michelin star and has kept its place among the south's finest restaurants for decades. The Iaccarino family's restaurant sits above the coast in the quiet hilltop village of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, away from the tourist crush below.

Il Pirata
Tucked into the tiny harbour of Marina di Praia below Praiano, Il Pirata is a family-run seafood restaurant that has drawn devoted regulars for years. The setting is intimate, a small cove with fishing boats pulled up on the sand, and the food is honest, unfussy, and based entirely on what came in that morning.
