La Darsena
The western shore between Tremezzo and Lenno is home to some of the lake's grandest properties, and the dining reflects that clientele. La Darsena, in Tremezzo, serves excellent lakeside lunches: fresh pasta, grilled fish, and a wine list that takes Lombardy seriously.
The setting, right on the water with views across to Bellagio, makes it a fine spot for a long, unhurried midday meal between visits to the nearby gardens.
A relaxed alternative to the formal hotel dining rooms along this stretch of shore.

I booked a root for one night during our trip around the Como lake. The parkinson was free during the period we were there, otherwise it costs 5eur/day and it is near the hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful and the hotel is very welcoming. The best aspect of this place is the view of the lake. Every cent is worth for the view of the lake from your root and from the restaurant. The breakfast lack diversity, but there are good options, especially things that go well with a Coffee.
I had my wedding dinner at this restaurant and it was beautiful, location 10/10 and service and food immaculate. They made my wedding cake and it was a great night. Thank you
The dinner we had here was of the worst price-quality ratio we’ve experienced in the whole region. The dishes did not fit the description on the menu (fish tartare turned out as a plain boiled fish burger) + whatever we got served was of poor quality (scallops were way overcooked, sauces were plain and the fish was dry). You can have better food at the local bars. The staff was not hospitable either, only the view is nice.
We are just here in the restaurant but it is amazing. Not just the people, who work here are nice, open and funny but the guests as well. Really giving a feeling of italian hospitality. We love it🩷 thank you!
What creeps to make my dessert look like male genitalia. I tried to upload a photo but it kept getting rejected.... probably because it was so vulgar. The dessert was taking a really long time and the waiter said it was being handmade. Such trashy behavior. Also, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on with a huge depression in the mattress.

Albergo Milano
Varenna, on the eastern shore, is quieter and less polished than Bellagio, which is exactly its appeal. The waterfront is lovely, with a narrow lakeside promenade and a handful of restaurants that catch the afternoon sun and the views across to the western mountains.

Bilacus
In Bellagio, the waterfront restaurants along the lungolago tend to trade on location rather than quality. For better cooking, head uphill to the quieter streets behind the waterfront, where Bilacus serves reliable Lombardian cuisine in a pleasant courtyard in the old town.

Crotto dei Platani
A crotto is a traditional Lombard restaurant built into or against a natural rock formation, using cool air from mountain caves as a natural refrigerator, a technique that predates electricity by centuries. Crotto dei Platani, in the small village of Brienno on the western shore, is one of the finest examples. The terrace extends over the water beneath enormous plane trees, and on a still summer evening it is as atmospheric as dining gets.
