Lo Scoglio does not have a Michelin star, and the regulars rather hope it stays that way. This family-run restaurant sits directly on the water in the tiny bay of Marina del Cantone, and it has been serving some of the coast's finest seafood for three generations.

The zucchini pasta, the dish that put Nerano on the culinary map, is exceptional here, but it is the grilled fish and seafood platters that keep the boating crowd anchoring offshore. The setting, with waves practically lapping at your feet, is worth the trip alone.

Prices are gentler than the starred restaurants at EUR 60-90 per person, though you will still need to book ahead.
