Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas opened in 2008 inside Sirinat National Park, on Mai Khao Beach in the far north of the island. It has 83 pool villas set in lagoon gardens by Bill Bensley, and it is about 15 minutes from the airport.

The resort's restaurants include Sea Fire Salt, a beachfront grill with a salt sommelier, and Tiffin by La Sala for Indian food. Mai Khao is Phuket's longest beach and one of its quietest, but you'll need a car to reach the restaurants elsewhere on the island.
