The Mulia complex is Bali's largest luxury resort, three brands under one management on a sprawling beachfront estate in Nusa Dua. The draw is scale and facilities: multiple pools, an expansive stretch of beach, a serious spa, and a roster of restaurants and bars that means you need never leave the grounds. Mulia Deli, the in-house patisserie, turns out some of the best pastries in the area.

Mulia Villas, set on a clifftop above the main resort, is the standout tier, with private pool villas and some of the largest bathrooms on the island. The standard resort rooms are comfortable and generously sized, though they lack the individual character of Bali's most distinctive properties.

Rates start around USD 250 for the resort and USD 700 and up for the villas. It suits travellers who want scale, choice, and facilities without venturing far from the property.
